My Health Journey – From Dr. Sean Lynch

At the age of 19, while serving in the Army National Guard, my health journey took an unexpected turn. During Air Assault training, where we rappelled out of helicopters, I suffered a serious back injury. Years later, I reinjured my back while jumping off a 30-foot cliff into the water during a cruise outing. The pain escalated to the point where an MRI revealed two bulging, almost herniated discs. The injury left me bedridden for months, barely able to walk or work.
Hope came when my son, who was working at Restore Hyper Wellness, introduced me to red light therapy and infrared sauna treatments. These therapies became a turning point in my recovery. (Check out studies on the benefits of red light therapy and infrared sauna.)
Around the same time, I read two life-changing books: “When the Body Says No” and “The Body Keeps the Score”. These works opened my eyes to the profound connection between emotional trauma and physical pain, leading me to pursue a holistic path to healing—addressing my emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
I realized I needed to make serious changes. I quit many obligations that were running me ragged and stopped seeking approval to compensate for my own insecurities. I committed to a morning devotional practice and set aside quiet time for reflection and prayer, which brought me much-needed inner peace.
Nutrition also became a major focus. I evaluated my diet, cut out processed foods, and began incorporating AG1 into my daily routine while learning from experts like Andrew Huberman through his podcasts. (Interested in AG1? Learn more and order here.)
After two years of dedication, I feel significantly more emotionally, spiritually, and physically healthy. This journey has been about more than just overcoming physical pain—it’s been a transformation of my entire being. I’m grateful for the lessons learned and the tools that have helped me reclaim my health, and I hope my story encourages others to prioritize their well-being and embrace a holistic approach to healing.
